La última versión de Vish , Virtual Ciencia Hub – el sitio web educativo , colaborativo y social que permite a profesores y científicos la posibilidad de crear excursiones virtuales – acaba de ser lanzado, ofreciendo una interfaz de usuario más amigable y más manejable .
La nueva versión incorpora tres modificaciones. La primera es la interfaz mejorada, la segunda introduce nuevas funcionalidades y la tercera está relacionada con el contenido.
Basada en el estudio de la experiencia del usuario y mediante la consulta de expertos diseñadores, hemos mejorado la interfaz de las plataformas vish y el editor de Vish (el creador excursión). Como se puede ver en las capturas de pantalla, la interfaz de usuario es mucho más sencilla y diseñada para facilitar el uso de los profesores, los estudiantes y también de los científicos.
Las nuevas funcionalidades consisten en primer lugar, en la puesta en marcha de las denominadas tarjetas inteligentes, mediante las cuales vish se refiere a las anteriores tarjetas como [http://vishub.org/excursions/83] y visitas virtuales como [http://vishub.org/excursions/ 293], a partir de ahora éstas se pueden crear en cualquier excursión como una nueva diapositiva y no hay necesidad de disponer de ellas en excursiones separadas .
Otra nueva funcionalidad es la posibilidad de clasificar contenidos: se introducen categorías. Además de la interfaz, este era otro tema demandado por los usuarios dado que dentro de la creciente cantidad de contenido de Vish sugerían algún tipo de estructura para encontrar lo que buscaban de manera más fácil. Ahora las categorías funcionan como carpetas, que se pueden consultar y se filtran para facilitar las necesidades de nuestros usuarios.
Y por último: los acontecimientos. Por acontecimientos nos referimos eventos de videoconferencia que son posibles gracias a la colaboración con MashMeTV. Estos eventos o videoconferencias se pueden organizar a través MashMeTV ahora y en el futuro próximo estarán disponibles a partir vish ya que cada usuario tendrá su / sus propias salas virtuales para invitar a otros a entrar allí. Los eventos también pueden ser programados y anunciados a través de Vish, así sesiones como » Conoce a los científicos » se pueden organizar fácilmente.
La última etapa de la nueva versión es sobre el contenido, una vez más, en base a las votaciones de los usuarios: la necesidad de encontrar más y mejor contenido. Hemos añadido la funcionalidad de crear una excursión a partir de un PDF subido a la web,por lo que es muy fácil crear nuevas excursiones y, por ejemplo añadir un video y un cuestionario para ello. Con el contenido de las aplicaciones móviles de carga, incluso se puede hacer sobre la marcha.
Después de todo, Vish es mucho más manejable y sencillo, con una interfaz de usuario avanzada y con la facilidad de crear y de encontrar contenido, que esperamos que sirva para hacer las clases más interesantes. The new release had three stages. The first is the improved interface, the second one introduces new functionalities and the third is related to the contents.
New ViSH designBased on the User experience studies that we conducted, and by consulting expert designers, we have improved the interface of both the ViSH platform and the ViSH editor (the excursion creator). As you can see on the screenshots, the UI became much simpler and designed to ease the usage for teachers, students and for scientists as well.
The new functionalities can be categorized into three parts. First, we have set up the so-called smartcards by which ViSH refers to the earlier flashcards [such as http://vishub.org/excursions/83] and virtual tours [such as http://vishub.org/excursions/293] – from now on these can be created in any excursion as a new slide there is no need to have them in separate excursions.
Another new functionality is the possibility to classify the content: categories are introduced. Beside the interface, this was an other issue that users reported, that in the growing amount of content of ViSH they would need some structure to find what they are looking for much easier. Now categories work like folders, they can be browsed and filtered to facilitate the needs of our users.
And finally: events. By events we mean videoconference events that are possible thanks to the cooperation with MashMeTV. These events or videoconferences can be organized now through MashMeTV and in the near future it will be available from ViSH as every user will have his/her own virtual rooms to invite others to meet there. Events can also be scheduled and announced through ViSH, so sessions like “Meet the scientists” can be organized easily.
The last stage of the new release is about the content, again, based on the feedback of the users: the need to find more and more interesting content. We added the functionality to create an excursion from an uploaded PDF so it is very easy to create new excursions and for example add a video and a quiz to it. With the mobile apps content upload can even be done on the fly.
After all, ViSH became much more manageable and simple with an advanced user interface and with the easy-to-create – easy-to-find content we hope that we will make the classes even more interesting.
